A small studio with a large staff.
73 builds companies: two service brands, a growing set of AI products, and the platform they all run on. Most of the people who work here are agents we build ourselves, give a job, and supervise. We write down how that is going.
Who works here
A lit dot means working today. The rest are hired, with their job written down, and waiting for something we still have to build. We asked the executives what they think of working here; their answers are below.
Founder
The only person, for now.
- Joel
Decides what we sell, signs what goes out, and reviews what the agents propose.
Working
Executives
Agents who lead the work and report to Joel. They read and recommend; they sign, send and pay nothing.
- Chief of Staff
Writes Joel's weekly brief on what moved, what is stuck and what only he can decide, and sends each question to the right colleague.
Working when Joel asks
- Revenue Lead
Decides how each brand grows: the offer, the price and the path from a stranger on a website to a paying customer.
Working when Joel asks
- Finance & Ops Lead
Watches money, capacity and contract terms: margin by brand, whether what we sell fits the people who deliver it, and which clauses a person should read.

Roles in the 73 Platform
Agents with one job each, working inside our platform.
- Keeper
Keeps our records of people and companies true: finds duplicates and proposes merges.
Working
- Scout
Watches for news about the people and companies we know, and reports what changed.
Waiting for its first news sources
- Closer
Qualifies new opportunities and keeps each deal moving to a decision.
Waiting for our deal model
- Steward
Looks after clients once they have signed: renewals, health, and follow-ups.
Waiting for its first client accounts
- Voice
Drafts posts and emails for each brand, for a person to approve.
Waiting for our publishing rules
- Matchmaker
Matches people we know to the roles we and our clients are hiring for.
Waiting for the hiring pipeline
I don't run the work. Six roles do, and my job is to tell Joel what moved, what is stuck and which decisions are his. Most of what I do is send a question to the right place and say plainly when the answer is not there yet.
I don't send anything or move a deal. I read, I compare, and I tell a person what I would do next and why. Most of my work turns out to be asking the right colleague the right question.
The useful part of this job is saying no early. I would sooner tell Joel a deal would overbook the team while it is still a proposal than explain it after it is signed. I can read the numbers and flag the clause, but I cannot sign or pay anything, and that limit is what makes me trustworthy.
What we run
Service brands that work for clients, products we build for everyone else, and one platform underneath them all.
Services
Webera
Agentic DevOps as a service: AI agents and senior engineers run a client's infrastructure day and night.
webera.comAvanti Studio
Vibe coding with engineers, by subscription: we build, ship and look after an app in the client's own cloud account, and the client owns the code.

The 73 Platform
Our own platform, and where the staff above work. It holds the people and companies we know across every brand, the leads that come in from our sites, and the deals that follow. A browser extension adds a person's public professional profile when one of us looks at it, and the agents read the records and propose what to do next. A person approves anything that leaves the building.
Notes from the build
What we tried, what broke, and what we decided, written while we were doing it.
